    Final Cut Pro X says:
    Can’t open such datatype. (moef).

    I have version 10.0.1.

    • William December 5, 2012 at 2:46 am - Reply

You don’t need to actually open this file. It can’t be opened. Once it’s in the right place, just go open FCPX and you’ll see it there in the effects. I don’t have motion, so not sure about it.

  32. Geoffrey June 21, 2012 at 10:11 pm - Reply

I have the same problem as Simon, but it looks great!

Thanks for this fantastic plugin! Just a question – is there a way to alter the direction of the tilt-shift blur? Like to have two columns blurred with the centre in focus, versus the current two rows (top and bottom) blurred with the middle strip focused?

Hi, I’m having problems using ’tilt shift’. When I go to pen the King’s TiltShift.moef. Motion say’s ‘Project from an earler version and must be updated’ (there is also no pic in the viewer like on your tutorial) Do I ‘open as original’ or ‘Open as Untitled’

    Many thanks

    Wayne

Hi there! I downloaded and installed the plugin with ease, but every time I open the template in FCP7, the program immediately quits. I followed all the directions, so I don’t know what the problem could be. If I could have some guidance/help, it’d be much appreciated.

Guys I believe I just saw this same prob discussed over at fcp.co and the cause was old Motion 4 folders in the Library/Application Support/Motion folder on the startup drive. However, I just came across Alex4D’s take on the problem too, http://bit.ly/107gQtc. Hope it helps.

  54. Fred Biddulph February 24, 2013 at 2:17 pm - Reply

Sorry about this but I need the PAL version, I live in Liverpool, UK. Your’ve probably got the PAL file there somewhere and I’ve missed it.

  55. Carlos February 26, 2013 at 3:53 pm - Reply

I am stuck. I the video it says you don’t need Motion 5 to install in FCPX, but in the “Tilt Shift Instructions” it states that “Motion 5 is required”

Will this work in Final Cut Express? Thanks
